Experience
Ned Lenhart founded Interstate Tax Strategies, P.C. in 2003 after serving as Director and Practice leader of the Deloitte sales tax practice of the Atlanta office. He has 32 years of diverse sales tax consulting experience serving the technology, manufacturing, professional services and healthcare industries. Ned serves clients located throughout the U.S. on matters of multistate sales tax. These include tax matrix development, voluntary disclosure, audit defense, tax overpayment studies, merger and acquisition due diligence consulting, and strategic planning. He also worked for many years with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, serving as practice leader for both firms. Prior to beginning his career in public accounting, Ned worked with the Missouri Department of Revenue as the Director of the Division of Compliance which oversaw the tax audit and criminal investigation operations of the Missouri Department of Revenue. Ned frequently presents on issues surrounding multistate taxation to professional and trade associations and has been featured as a tax expert on several Atlanta radio stations. Education/Certifications Ned holds a B.A. in Accounting from Iowa Wesleyan College and an MBA from Minnesota State University, and is a CPA licensed in Georgia and Alabama. |
