Experience
Chris has 17+ years of M&A tax advisory experience providing structuring, due diligence and other transaction tax services to public and private companies in various industries, private equity funds, and investment banks. Chris has consulted on numerous M&A transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, tax-free reorganizations, debt restructurings, entity rationalizations, and post-deal integration projects. Chris has significant experience advising middle market PE clients on buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence and tax structuring engagements. Chris also regularly advises clients on stock basis and earnings & profits computations, strategies for the preservation and utilization of net operating losses and other tax attributes (section 382), and consolidated return issues. Prior to joining M&A Tax Solutions, Chris was a Director in PwC's Atlanta M&A tax practice. Chris has presented on various M&A tax topics to professional groups and at external client seminars, such as the Tax Executives Institute. Chris is also a volunteer instructor of the M&A Tax section of a graduate level accounting course at Kennesaw State University. Education/Certifications Chris earned his B.B.A. with a Major in Accounting from the University of West Georgia, and earned his Master of Tax Accounting degree from The University of Alabama. Chris is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia and holds a membership in the American Institute of Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAs, and the Association for Corporate Growth. |
