Experience
Francisco has over 16 years of experience providing tax consulting advice to public and private companies in various industries, private equity funds, and investment banks in the area of M&A, including buy and sell-side tax due diligence, tax-free reorganizations, entity rationalization, transaction cost analysis, earnings and profits studies, tax attribute preservation and utilization strategies, and stock basis studies. He also has extensive experience with tax structuring and modeling for clients contemplating potential sale or purchase transactions, including cross-border transactions. Prior to joining M&A Tax Solutions, Francisco was a Director in Grant Thornton's M&A tax practice. Francisco also has industry experience with Kraft Heinz Company, where he was a Senior Tax Attorney. In this role, he provided income tax advice and assisted in the development of tax strategies to improve earnings and maximize cash flow. He also assisted in global M&A transactions, including tax due diligence, structuring and contract review. Previously, Francisco was a State and Local Tax manager at KPMG LLP. Education/Certifications Francisco received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law. Francisco is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and also holds memberships to the Allegheny County Bar Association-Taxation Section as well as the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). |
